The Dutch Renewable Energy Association; Duurzame Energie Koepel
The Dutch Renewable Energy Association, DE Koepel, is founded in 2002 by Holland Solar ( the Dutch Solar Trade Association) the Netherlands Bio Energy Association ( Platform Bio Energie), the Wind Energy association NWEA (formerly know as FME groep windenergie, PAWEX and NEWIN) and the Heat Pump Association. The associations together form the Board of the DE Koepel. As an umbrella ( Koepel) organisation, the DE Koepel promotes the interests of the companies and organisations which are all working in the renewable energy sector. Through an active public affairs agenda it seeks increasing public and political support for the renewable energy sector and applications such as solar heat and solar power, heat pumps, bio-energy and windenergy. Collectively the supporting trade associations represent more than 250 companies and institutions involved in renewable energy activities.
The Dutch Renewable Energy Association aims to stimulate the development of renewables in the Netherlands by influencing governmental policy and to increase political and public support. Pushing for more consistent and stimulating policies and for the removal of administrative barriers for renewable energy generation are the main priorities. Advisory Board
The priorities of the DE Koepel are set by an Advisory Board (Deelnemers). The board consists of representatives of the trade associations and some individual companies and institutions. This Board guides and finances the activities of the DE Koepel.
